All uses of Lumos LLMs products and services, as well as visits to our websites or applications, are subject to this Privacy Policy. The purpose of this document is to help you understand what information is collected from or about you, how this information is used and protected, and what options you have with regard to this information.
Lumos LLMs provides tools to create and manage an llms.txt file that helps AI systems understand and classify online store content responsibly. We are committed to protecting merchant, store, and customer privacy while enabling secure AI data access.
Customer – A "Customer" is anyone who purchases/avails Lumos LLMs products or services.
User – A "User" is anyone who visits our website or uses our application.
Personal Information – "Personal information" means any information that relates to a natural person, which, either directly or indirectly, in combination with other information available, is capable of identifying such person.
To generate an llms.txt file, Lumos LLMs may access only necessary store data, limited to:
Store name and store URL,
Publicly visible product information:
Product titles,
Descriptions,
Images (URLs only),
Product prices & currency,
Product categories, tags, and collections
We do not access or collect private customer information, orders, payment data, or hidden metafields unless explicitly granted by the merchant.
Lumos LLMs does not store or process any of the following:
Customer names, emails, phone numbers, or addresses,
Order history or payment information,
Sensitive metafields or private product data,
Admin passwords or Shopify credentials
Lumos LLMs does not sell, share, or trade any data with third parties.
Data is used only to:
Generate and preview an llms.txt file,
Improve product discoverability by AI search systems,
Apply merchant settings (filters, disallow rules, categories, etc.)
We never use store data to train AI models or share it externally.
Lumos LLMs does not permanently store product or customer data outside Shopify. Data is temporarily processed while the file is being generated.
Settings saved by merchants may be stored only to:
Preserve preferences,
Generate future llms.txt exports
Merchants may request deletion of stored settings at any time.
Lumos LLMs uses:
Shopify OAuth for secure authentication,
Shopify APIs for product data access
No external databases, analytics, or AI training tools are used with merchant data.
Merchants can control what appears in the llms.txt file, including:
Hiding product prices,
Disabling product categories,
Blocking specific URLs, folders, or collections,
Restricting bots or AI models explicitly
The app will never override user privacy choices.
We have established electronic and administrative safeguards designed to secure the information we collect, to prevent unauthorized access to or disclosure of that information and to ensure it is used appropriately. Although we strive to keep your Personal Information secure, no security measures are absolute, and we cannot guarantee that your Personal Information will never be disclosed in a manner inconsistent with this Policy.
We may update this policy to comply with new AI or data regulations. Updated versions will be posted within the app and take effect immediately upon use. Please check our application periodically for changes to this Privacy Policy.
